Extra Special
Back in November 2006 we began the process of selecting our Extra Special Spirits range. It was essential that we concentrated on using only the very best products and ingredients to develop the best spirits possible for our customers.
After almost a year in development, and as a result of an exciting and challenging adventure, we are now proud to offer a collection of products that are worthy of inclusion to the ASDA Extra Special range.
Our quest for excellence led us to the chilly extremes of Iceland for the purest water, to the sunny coast of France to select the stylish 'Oslo' glass bottle, and to Portugal for our heat shrink seals which are hand applied and hand finished on our production line in the equally exotic Chorley! All so that you can enjoy only the very best spirits courtesy of ASDA.

With soft tones of fruit, our cognac gives a taste so smooth you won't be able to resist.
ASDA Extra Special XO Cognac delivers a smooth long silky taste, that lasts in the mouth, giving soft notes of prunes, apples and vanilla. These flavours add to the cognac's smoothness, giving a very well balanced rounded finish.
The selection process starts with grapes which are then distilled in old copper stills in the heart of Cognac. It is then aged in oak barrels, in the cellars of Cognac, for six years. Only then when it has reached its full potential in terms of both quality and taste, is it bottled in France, in the innovative 'Oslo' glass bottle, thus giving the finishing touches to this high quality product.
