Liqueurs

Most liqueurs are spirits infused with fruits, herbs and spices. They are often a lot sweeter than standard spirits.

Advocaat

Sunny yellow advocaat is a Christmas favourite, especially when mixed with lemonade to produce a snowball. Advocaat is made in the Netherlands and is grape spirit mixed with egg yolks and sugar.

What does it taste like? A viscous, creamy drink with a full body and hints of eggs and brandy.

Amaretto

Almonds and apricots are the main flavourings in this brandy-based drink from Italy. It makes an excellent liqueur for coffee and goes well with desserts.

What does it taste like? Sweet and fragrant with almonds.

Cream Liqueur

A liqueur is a sweetened alcoholic spirit usually flavoured with things like fruit, spices, nuts, and herbs. Cream liqueur is a liqueur with the added ingredient of cream or a milk-based ingredient such as coconut to give it its unique flavours. A cream liqueur might also use a whiskey or rum as the spirit base of the drink.

What does it taste like? A blend of Irish whiskey and fresh Irish cream produces a smooth and indulgent taste.
